What you're agreeing to

By downloading and using Ramona, you agree to a few basic rules. They're mostly common sense:

• Use the app for its intended purpose. Ramona is a wellness companion. Don't use it for anything illegal, harmful, or abusive.
• Don't try to break the app. Don't hack, scrape, or reverse-engineer Ramona. Don't overload our servers with automated requests.
• Be honest about who you are. Don't create fake accounts or pretend to be someone else. This helps us keep the community safe.
• Don't expect medical advice. Ramona is not a doctor, nurse, or therapist. She cannot diagnose conditions, prescribe treatments, or give medical instructions. Always talk to a real healthcare professional for medical concerns.
• You're responsible for your device. Keep your phone secure. Don't share your login with people you don't trust.

What we're promising

In return, here's what we promise you:

• The app is free. Ramona is free to download and free to use. We don't ask for a credit card. There are no subscription tiers, no premium upgrades, and no hidden fees.
• Your data is secure. We encrypt your conversations and store them safely. We don't sell your data to advertisers or data brokers.
• We'll tell you if things change. If we ever need to update these terms in a way that affects your rights, we'll notify you by email and in the app before the changes take effect.
• We'll keep the app running. We work hard to keep Ramona available and functioning. Sometimes we need downtime for maintenance, but we'll do our best to minimize interruptions.
• You can leave anytime. Delete your account and your data from the app settings whenever you want. No questions asked. No retention period.

What we're not responsible for

We have to be clear about what we can't guarantee:

• Medical decisions. You are solely responsible for your health and medical decisions. Ramona's suggestions are general wellness information, not medical advice. If you follow something Ramona says and it doesn't work for you, that's not on us. Always consult your doctor.
• Third-party app stores. We don't control Apple or Google. If the App Store or Google Play is down, or if they remove the app, we can't fix that — though we'll do everything we can to resolve it.
• Your phone and internet. Ramona needs a working smartphone and internet connection. We're not responsible for your device's battery life, your cellular plan, or your Wi-Fi connection.
• Other users. If you choose to share a weekly summary with a family member, what they do with that information is between you and them.
• Unlimited availability. We may need to take the app down for maintenance, or we may need to limit service in rare circumstances. We'll try to give you notice when we can.

Intellectual property

Ramona Health Inc owns the app, the code, the brand, and the content. You own your conversation data. We give you a personal, non-exclusive license to use the app — not to copy, modify, or resell it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email and display a notice in the app at least 30 days before the changes take effect. If you continue using Ramona after the changes, that means you accept the updated terms.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms — for example, by using the app for illegal activity or trying to hack our systems. We hope we never have to do this, but we need the option to protect our community.

You can terminate your relationship with us anytime by deleting your account in the app settings. Your data will be deleted according to our privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Sacramento County, California.
