What we collect

Voice transcripts

When you talk to Ramona, we transcribe your voice so she can understand and respond. These transcripts are the core of how the app works.

Basic profile

Your name and age help Ramona personalize conversations. We don't require your full address, Social Security number, or insurance details.

Optional health goals

If you tell Ramona you want to walk more or sleep better, we save those goals so she can check in on your progress. Only if you choose to share them.

What we don't collect

No device data

We don't connect to wearables, fitness trackers, blood pressure cuffs, or any other devices. Ramona works through conversation, not sensors.

No SMS or call logs

Ramona lives inside the app. We don't send you text messages or call your phone, and we don't access your message or call history.

No location tracking

We don't track where you go. The only exception is if you explicitly opt in to local resource suggestions — and even then, we only use your general area, not your exact location.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect for one purpose: to make your conversations with Ramona helpful and personal. Specifically:

To power your conversations. Ramona remembers what you told her so she can ask follow-up questions and notice patterns over time.
To send weekly summaries. If you opt in, we email you a high-level summary of your week — things like how often you mentioned walking or sleep quality.
To improve Ramona. We review anonymized, aggregated conversation patterns to make Ramona smarter. We remove anything that could identify you before we do this.
To keep the app working. We monitor for technical issues and fix bugs.

Who we share with

Short answer: no one, unless you ask us to.

We don't sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
We don't share with third parties. We don't give your conversation transcripts to hospitals, insurance companies, or employers.
Family summaries only with your permission. If you choose to share a weekly summary with a family member, we send it to the email you specify. You can turn this off anytime.
If required by law. In rare cases, we may be legally required to share information — for example, if we receive a valid court order. We will notify you unless we're legally prohibited from doing so.

Your rights

You have control over your data. Here's what you can do:

Delete your account and data anytime. Go to app settings, tap "Delete Account," and everything is gone. No phone calls. No retention period.
Export your data. Want a copy of your conversation history? Email us at privacy@hiramona.com and we'll send it to you.
Update your information. You can change your name, age, or goals in the app settings at any time.
Opt out of summaries. If you're receiving weekly summaries and don't want them anymore, turn them off in settings or unsubscribe from the email.
Ask us anything. If you have questions about your data, email privacy@hiramona.com. We read every email and respond within 48 hours.

Data security

We encrypt your data in transit and at rest. We limit access to your transcripts to a small number of engineers who need it to keep the app running — and they are bound by strict confidentiality agreements. We regularly review our security practices and work with outside experts to identify and fix vulnerabilities.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to this privacy policy, we'll notify you in the app and by email. We won't make changes that reduce your rights without telling you first.
